Admissions Consultation

Consultation on proposed changes to the Admissions Arrangements for Weston Turville Church of England School to take effect from the beginning of the academic year 2026 – 2027.

Every year the admission authority for all schools and academies are required to review their admission arrangements. The aim is to ensure that the arrangements continue to be appropriate, and that they comply with all the relevant requirements. The admission authority must consult on proposed changes to the admission arrangements.

The admission authority for Weston Turville CE School is its Governing Body. The Governing Body has decided to consult on proposed changes to the school’s admission arrangements which would take effect from the beginning of the academic year 2026 to 2027.

The proposals we are consulting on are:

An addition to the over-subscription criteria to include children of members of Weston Turville CE School Staff: Any staff member of Weston Turville CE School who has been employed for 2 years or more at the time of application, or was recruited to fill a post for which there is a demonstrable skills shortage, and has a child wishing to join the school.

Additional changes which we are not required to consult on are:

A definition of what constitutes a member of 'school staff'.

The Governing Body welcomes any comments on the updated policy and the public consultation period will run from now until Thursday 21st November 2024. Please send your comments to the school office,  office@westonturville.bucks.sch.uk,  making clear that they are for the attention of the Chair of Governors.

The full proposed admission arrangements are available to read or download below.

The consultation will run from 11 October until 21 November 2024.
